Important Website To watch

Lots of stuff on puppet making.
One thing i like, the weight of the puppet is supported by an exterior rig, and no weight on the feet.
That could be awesome no? there is only a little bit more compositing, but it is really simple one, and we are 4 so...
What do you think ?

  1. no exterior rig unless we really need it. unless you are interested in cleaning up every single freakin frame of the entire film, which i am definitely not. it is much better to be more careful during shooting, unless there is some reason why, like he is flying or something. but just because we dont want to deal with tie downs is not a good reason. Tie downs also help anchor the puppet so that the puppet is balanced correctly, working in accordance with basic rules of gravity. The tie down creates a fixed position for the foot, like in real life, so that the weight is truly locked in place. We can test this to see for sure, but at the outset it does not make sense to me.
